Weapon Master, 2nd Variant (5e Feat)

Design Note: This feat is intended to be a revised version of the vanilla weapon master feat attempting to address common complaints surrounding its usefulness.

Weapon Master, 2nd Variant

You have practiced extensively with a variety of weapons, gaining the following benefits:

  • Choose two families of weapons (as seen on the table below). You become proficient in the weapons you have chosen.
  • When you use a weapon you are not proficient with, you can add half of your proficiency bonus (rounded down) to attack rolls made with that weapon.
