The end of the staff looks like the head of a snake and will attempt to bite creatures that get too close and are not attuned. This staff functions as a magic quarterstaff with a +2 bonus to attack and damage rolls. It deals an additional 4 (1d8) poison damage on a hit.

This magic staff has 3 charges. As an action while you are holding the staff, you can expend a charge to cast polymorph on yourself, transforming into a constrictor snake or a poisonous snake (your choice). While you are in the form of the snake, you retain your Intelligence, Wisdom, and Charisma scores. The staff regains 1d3 expended charges daily at dawn.
