This ancient, yellowed staff is carved and crafted from the hyoid and tail bones of an even more ancient chromatic dragon.

While you hold this staff, you learn the Draconic language and have advantage on Charisma checks made against creatures of draconic blood that can see or hear you (such as a dragon or kobold). It also has 5 charges. As an action, you can expend a charge to cast chromatic orb (+7 to hit) as a 3rd-level spell.

The staff regains 1d4 + 1 expended charges daily at dawn. If you expend the last charge, roll a d20. On a 1, the staff becomes nonmagical.
