Special. You can add an extra die to the damage of your unarmed strikes or increase their damage in a tier (1->d4->d6->d8->Etc). Strikes made with these gloves are considered unarmed attacks, but for purposes, it is considered a martial weapon. It's necessary to have your hands free to benefit from this property.
