This arrow possesses fletching fashioned from a scarlet feather. When it is fired, it accelerates mid-flight, a trail of brilliant red following shortly behind it. For every 10 feet this magical arrow travels during its flight, it deals an additional d6 of piercing damage to the target. Once it hits a target, the fletching loses its red color and the arrow is no longer magical.

Origin. The fletching on these arrows are created from the tail feathers of the scarlet rike, a powerful bird known for its great speed and dive-bombing assaults.
