Components: V, S, M (A drop of blood)
Duration: Instantaneous

You summon an undead creature of CR 1/2 from the body of a dead being. The creature has the undead type and follows your commands. However, you must use a bonus action on your turn to command it. The summoned undead cannot use Legendary Actions, Mythic Actions, Lair Actions, or Legendary Resistances, even if it possesses them. If the summoned creature has reactions, it cannot use them. A creature summoned by this spell cannot summon other creatures, even if it has spells or abilities that would allow it to do so. The undead acts immediately after your turn. The summoned undead lasts for 24 hours or until it drops to 0 hit points, whichever comes first. You can have only one undead summoned by this spell at a time.

At Higher Levels. When you cast this spell using a spell slot of 2nd level or higher, the level of the undead that can be summoned follows the table:
