R'Leth (Grisaire Supplement)

The City of Ashes, or R'Leth, is a place of legend said to be in the hollow where Primus' heart used to be, somewhere in the core of the world.

Ashen Expeditions

Attempts to probe the unknown that is R'Leth often end in disaster. In all of Grisarian history, there were nine expeditions in total, most of which ended in only losses and limited information gleaned about the mythical place that is R'Leth. Most of the public is unaware of the City of Ashes. Even among upper echelons, there is widespread skepticism and even information suppression regarding the Uncreated and their origin. For the few with means and interest, this is where the Ashen Expeditions originate.

Following the end of the March of Gears in 9,650 AP, dwarven scholar Rian Irkzhil was intrigued by his compilation of records surrounding the Ruinous Purge and wrote the first thesis on the existence of the Uncreated, as well as where they might originate from inside the planet. This thesis was heavily contentious in many circles and even drew interest from theologians. Considering its volatility, this was never published to for the public eye, but the interest sparked some daring investors and state actors to put up their money to hire adventurers to venture into the supposed depths of the planet. These efforts, due to their interconnection with country coffers, had to be overseen by the Everford Nations.

Core

The heart of Primus has long shriveled and become a stone-cold artifact, known as the Heart of the Abyss.
