3e Summary::With inborn psionic power and constant exposure to the astral plane, Psyrenic creatures are capable of manifesting devastating mental prowess.

Creating a Psyrenic Creature

This template is an inherited template. Any humanoid or monstrous nonmindless humanoid creature, with at least intelligence of 10 and no power points, and does not already have the psionic subtype (referred to hereafter as the base creature) can acquire this template. A psyrenic creature uses all the base creature’s statistics and special abilities except as noted here.

Size and Type

The creature’s type does not change. It gains the Psionic subtype.

Special Attacks

  • Psi-like Abilities (Ps): A psyrenic creature possesses the psi-like abilities indicated below, depending on its Hit Dice. The powers gained at each HD are cumulative and Ancestral Power Points stack with any power points the creature gains from class levels. These powers cannot be augmented until the creatures HD is equal to the power point cost of the power, additionally the creatures Manifester level is treated as its HD and will not stack with manifester levels gained from classes. The save DCs for a psyrenic creature’s psi-like abilities are Intelligence-based.
