Black like the night, with cracks of white and grey running down the body. The string isn't normally there, and only appears in a burst of energy as the user grabs it.

When using it as a melee weapon, the Onyx Bowblade deals 1d4 additional necrotic damage. When using it as a ranged weapon, you do not need to knock arrows, as the bow itself creates bolts. They deal necrotic damage instead of piercing, and dissapear a round after being created.
