Lord Knows (5e Spell)

Lord Knows
2nd-level Divination
Casting time: 1 action
Range: 60 feet
Components: S, M (a yellow moonstone worth 200 gold and an owls feather)
Duration: Instantaneous

You point at a target within range and attempt to view their past and present to learn what they're capable of. The target must succeed on a Charisma saving throw. If they fail you learn one of the following things, of the GM's choice about the target:

  • Name (Can't be a demons true name).
  • Creature type.
  • Challenge rating/Level.
  • Damage immunities.
  • Damage resistances.
  • Damage vulnerabilities.
  • Armor class.
  • Two of their ability scores.

If the target gets a nat 20 on their charisma saving throw they can make up a lie about their abilities. Also, you can only use this spell on a target once every 24 hours.
