Grendel (5e Equipment)

A truly huge weapon, meant more for giants than mere men, although those mighty enough may defy this. Through a complex series of arcane triggers, Grendel can burn fuel to rapidly enhance it's following swings, breaking through the hides of the toughest beasts.

Grendel has a maximum of 8 charges, and by inserting a pint of oil as an action, it may regain one. When you make an attack with this weapon, you may spend up to 3 charges, increasing your attack roll by an amount equal to the charges spent, as well as dealing an extra 1d10 fire damage per charge on a hit.
