Flame Blast, Variant (5e Spell)

You hurl a blast of fire at a creature within range that makes it vulnerable to other spells you cast. Make a ranged spell attack against the target. On a hit, the target takes 1d8 fire damage and the first time the target makes a saving throw against a spell you cast before the end of your next turn, it must roll a d4 and subtract the number rolled from the saving throw.

The spell creates more than one blast when you reach higher levels: two blasts at 5th level, three blasts at 11th level, and four blasts at 17th level. You can direct the blasts at the same target or at different ones. Make a separate attack roll for each blast.
