This suit of armor consists of lightweight steel plates over very thick cloth padding. This gives the armor a bulbous appearance, with an onion-shaped helmet. While this restricts the wearer's movements and provides an easier target for foes, it is effective against blunt trauma damage. The old tales speak of brave Catarina knights wearing this armor as they rushed courageously into battle.

Bulbous Armor. This armor's distended shape filled with lots of padding makes it more effective against blunt blows and less effective at resisting pokes. While wearing Catarina armor, you have a +1 bonus to AC against attacks that deal bludgeoning damage, but a -1 penalty to AC against attacks that deal piercing damage.
