Creates a spear of red lightning and stabs it into the ground from above. Choose a point within 5ft. A creature in that space must make a Dexterity saving throw, taking 10d8 on a failure or half as much on a success. Other creatures within a 15ft radius of the impact point must also make a Dexterity saving throw, taking 5d8 lightning damage on a failure, or half as much on a success.

At Higher Levels. When you cast this spell using a spell slot of 6th level or higher, the impact damage increases by 1d8 for each slot level above 5th, and the area damage increases by 1d8 for every two slot levels above 5th.
