These things about Xenoblade Chronicles 3 are subjective - not everyone will agree with all of them.

  • Overshadowed by Controversy: Initial discussions about the plot were all overshadowed by a picture in the epilogue revealing what Rex did about his romantic quadrangle in 2: marrying them all and having babies with them. Discussions about how it was somehow misogynistic, a signal of moral degeneration growing in Japan, just plain disbelief that Nintendo allowed this kind of thing to happen canonically on their games(given the company tries to stay away from any kind of controversy), not to mention how all the sub-fandoms for each one of the Rex's ships reacted. Pyra's English voice actress in 2, Skye Bennett, even engaged on Fanon Discontinuity as she felt it was out out of character to Rex to be able to manage a polygamic marriage.
