    The Supergiant Games logotype

Supergiant Games is an indie game studio. Based out of San Francisco, they typically make action oriented games focused on storytelling and adventure. They are known for their focus on extensive and reactive voice acting, as well as for their distinct graphics presentation of their art, which is typically inspired by older art movements. Based out of San Francisco, California they released their first game Bastion in 2011, and typically release new games on a 3 to 4 year cadence.

    They have a website here.

Supergiant Games provides examples of the following tropes:
    • Acclaimed Flop: Pyre was received very well, but sold very poorly compared to their other titles, especially in the opening weeks after launch.
    • Associated Composer: Darren Korb is highly associated with their work.
    • The Merch: Has had merch made of their games.
    • Official Cosplay Gear: In the late 2010s they produced an example for pets, creating a hoodie for dogs in the style worn by the doglike cur Rukey Greentail from Pyre.
    • One-Hit Wonder: Was the case for about a decade - Bastion was a hit, followed by the well received but less popular Transistor and Pyre being an Acclaimed Flop. Broken with the popularity of Hades.
    • Production Posse: Many of the staff are recognizable game to game.
Supergiant Games has worked on these works:

    • Developing Hell: Produced in conjunction with NoClip as a documentary on the development of Hades. It saw a Blu-Ray release in 2025 as noted on their website.
