  • Disowned Adaptation: The devs of Goodbye Volcano High greatly dislike this game and all discussion of it is banned on their official Discord.
  • Media Research Failure: In November 2022, articles by Kotaku and Pinknews criticized the game for stealing assets from Goodbye Volcano High. This is not possible as Goodbye Volcano High was released in 2023 and Snoot Game was released in 2021, with the latest patch being released in 2022, thus the devs of Snoot Game would have no way to access assets from Goodbye Volcano High. That said, Stella appeared in Snoot Game with a design based on early concept art, suggesting the devs were getting inspiration from art posted in the Goodbye Volcano High Discord and dev newsletter.
