Shrek 2/YMMV

These things about Shrek 2 are subjective - not everyone will agree with all of them.

• Crowning Music of Awesome: Jennifer Saunders's cover of I Need a Hero may be better than original. Helps that the scene accompanying it was totally awesome.
• Even Better Sequel: The film is better received than the first film for a great plot, good humor and character development.
• Genius Bonus: Panicked citizens run right out of one Farbucks... and into another Farbucks directly across the street.
• Hilarious in Hindsight: Shrek is disgusted by a poster of "Sir Justin" (who looks like Justin Timberlake) on Fiona's ceiling. Come the third movie, where a teenage King Arthur is played by... Justin Timberlake.
  • Even more hilarious: Justin and Cameron Diaz were dating at the time of Shrek 2 - by the time Justin became her cousin, they had broken up.
  • One of the first things Shrek said to Fiona was "You were expecting Prince Charming?" And then...
• Magnificent Bastard: The Fairy Godmother is the only Big Bad who comes close to managing this, due to sheer diabolical efficiency.
• Memetic Sex God: In-universe, Puss.
  • Shrek also becomes one once he consumes one of Fairy Godmother's potions and transforms into a handsome man. His first scene while transformed even has a group of women fawning over him!
• Squick: At the end, Dragon shows up with several of her and Donkey's newborn children. You don't want to think too hard about how that happened.
