  • Complete Monster: Lester.
  • Fridge Logic: As Roger Ebert pointed out in his review, Joey spends the entire movie searching for a gun that, in the end, he doesn't really need to retrieve.
  • High Octane Nightmare Fuel: The scene with the pedophile Serial Killers is extremely unsettling, to say the least. Also, the homeless man that helps Oleg is pretty damn scary.
  • HSQ: Very high.
  • Needs More Love: The movie got very little advertisement until its DVD release (and flopped at the box office).
  • Unfortunate Implications: It's a rare movie which has children attacking adults, often with guns, and approves of it. Of course, since the people being attacked are usually Abusive Parents or worse, it's justifiable.
