Created by writer Brian Pulido and artist Steven Hughes, Purgatori is part vampire, part demon, and all power-hungry nightmare.
Born into a life of slavery, Sakkara was plucked from poverty and promoted to the jewel in Queen Ostraca's harem. Her life of luxury was cut short, however, when General Ramses ordered the death of all the queen's lovers. Sakkara survived the massacre, and vowed revenge, willingly trading her humanity in to become an immortal weapon, and so Purgatori was born.
Feeding upon humanity fails to sate her appetite, and her desire for more and more powerful blood leads her to cross paths with Lucifer, and later her greatest foe, Lady Death.
