Law & Order is a franchise of Police Procedural/Law Procedural TV series, beginning with the long-running Law & Order.

Law and Order is also the title of an unrelated 1932 Western film.

TV series in the franchise include

  • Law & Order (1990-2010, 2022- ), the original version, sometimes called "the Mothership."
  • New York Undercover (1994–1998) shared some psychologist and psychiatrist characters with Law & Order
  • Law & Order: Special Victims Unit (1999- ), which focuses on sex crimes.
  • Law & Order: Criminal Intent (2001-2011), which focuses on high-profile cases.
  • Crime & Punishment (2002-2004), a reality series covering real court cases.
  • Law & Order: Trial by Jury (2005-2006), which focuses more on the Law Procedural side.
  • Conviction (2006), a Law Procedural featuring Law & Order characters.
  • Paris enquêtes criminelles (Paris Criminal Investigations, a.k.a. Law & Order: Paris) (2007-2008), a French remake of Criminal Intent.
  • Law & Order: Division of Field Investigation (Закон и порядок: отдел оперативных расследований) (2007-2011), a Russian remake of SVU.
  • Law & Order: Criminal Mind (Закон и порядок. Преступный умысел) (2007-2011), a Russian remake of Criminal Intent.
  • Law & Order: UK (2009-2014), a British remake of the original series.
  • Law & Order: LA (2010-2011), which takes place in Los Angeles instead of New York City.
  • Law & Order: Organized Crime (2021- )
  • Law & Order Toronto: Criminal Intent (2024- ), which takes place in Toronto

Unofficial and unmade series

  • Code of Law (unofficial, 2012-2020, set in Singapore)
  • Law & Order: Cape Town, a South African remake of the original series (announced by the The Cape Film Commission in 2011, nothing appears to have come of the project)
  • Law & Order: Hate Crimes (in development as of 2020)
  • Law & Order: For the Defense (abandoned as of 2022)
