Kodomo no Omocha/Trivia
Trivia about Kodomo no Omocha includes:
- Anime Theme Song: For a couple decades the original theme song, "7 O'clock News", was one of the best-known OPs, spawning a host of Anime Music Videos (including one made by Gainax that recreated the opening credits of Neon Genesis Evangelion as Kodocha).
- Bad Export for You: Everything involving the band Tokio.
- According to some reports, Funimation proposed re-scoring the music for relevant scenes in order to avoid referencing Tokio or dropping the audio entirely, but the Tokio handlers didn't find that solution acceptable. For some reason Funi was allowed to substitute different music in place of Tokio music for the English track, but not for the Japanese track.
- Take That: One enterprising fan reconstructed and subbed the original.
- That as of February 2012, it gives a 404'd video because of copyright of the footage. Pretty ironic, huh?
- Bowdlerise: The first disc of the FUNimation dub.
- One-Book Author: Tatsuya Nakazaki, who voiced Akito Hayama, only voiced that character and both Hajime and Shiro Ryojoji in Jubei-chan. Apart from those roles and some Japanese dubbing roles (he voiced young Simba in the first Japanese dub of The Lion King and he was the only voice actor that was replaced in the remastered version of the dub) he retired from voice acting after that.
- Relationship Voice Actor: In the North American dub, Laura Bailey and Jerry Jewell as Sana and Akito.
