- Fan Nickname: The animation is airing on Nico Nico Douga. Nicknames are inevitable.
- "Kazuki" for Takashi and "Papillon" for Mr. Shidou, from their resemblances to characters in Busou Renkin.
- "Bitch" for Rei, which has been taken up even by her fans ("Bitch is cute~", "Nice, bitch"). Also "Roach" for her hair style.
- "King of Braves" for Hirano. Also "Hirako" (平コウ)).
- "Excalibar" for the crowbar Takashi uses at the end of Act 5.
- Generally, "Awakening" (覚醒) (a Mobile Suit Gundam reference) whenever anyone gets their first moment of heroism/craziness.
- Genius Bonus: Zeke is known as Zero in the official English dub. The Mitsubishi A6M Reisen fighter plane had the official reporting name of "Zeke" among the Allies, but it is far, far better known as the Zero.
- Hey, It's That Voice!:
- It looks like some members of the Dai Gurren Brigade joined the fight against Them. Rei, Kohta, and Shizuka are voiced by Yoko, Viral, and Nia, respectively. Shidou is Kittan.
- Okay, that just makes me like Hirano even more.
- Kissho Taniyama who voiced Kittan in Gurren Lagann voices Smug Snake Koichi Shidou.
- Ayana Taketatsu, best known as Azusa "Azu-nyan" Nakano of K-On!, is the voice actress of Alice.
- Saeko is voiced by Miyuki Sawashiro, whom lately also voiced Celty Sturluson.
- Teaming up with her is the protagonist who's voiced by Junichi Suwabe. Bastard of a father Relius and his son who's broken are now teaming up, eh. And with their roles reversed too.
- Saya's parents were voiced by Joji Nakata and Yoshiko Sakakibara, both once voiced Alucard and Sir Integra Hellsing respectively.
- That means Alucard and Integra (Hellsing) are Saya's (Blood+) Parents? A-W-E-S-O-M-E
