Helldivers 2
Helldivers 2 (Stylized as Helldivers II on some promotional materials) is the second entry in the Helldivers series. Players take part in an evolving Galactic War, protecting Super Earth from its various foes. On a galactic map, players may see the progress of the war, choosing to fight against the buglike Terminids, the robotic Automatons, or the Illuminate. Once a planet and mission is selected, players drop into a site, pursuing their objective through Third-Person Shooter gameplay. Helldivers are equipped with a primary weapon such as a rifle, a secondary weapon such as a pistol, and a throwable weapon such as a grenade. Helldivers also have access to stratagems, powerful support or attack abilities that can significantly aid Helldivers in pursuing an objective. Should the player and optional teammates be victorious, their efforts result in an impact in the collective war effort by all players, updated online. Major Orders and other time limited factors can affect what sorts of missions are prioritized at a given time.
It was developed by Arrowhead Game Studios and published by Sony Interactive Entertainment in 2024.
It can be acquired for Microsoft Windows via Steam here. It can also be had for PlayStation 5 on the PlayStation store here.
