    Frances Louise McDormand (June 23, 1957 - ) is one of the most successful Hollywood actresses in the 21st century, being one of only twenty-four people (as of 2021) to win a competitive Academy Award, Emmy Award, and Tony Award in the acting categories. She is also an Academy Award winning movie producer.

    As of 2021. she's won as many Academy Awards as Katharine Hepburn, but unlike Hepburn, one of McDormand's awards was for Best Picture (Nomadland, for which she also won Best Actress). McDormand has also won three British Academy Film Awards, two Golden Globe Awards, two Primetime Emmy Awards, four Screen Actors Guild Awards, a Tony Award, and a plethora of regional or specialized entertainment awards.
