• Crowning Music of Awesome: The background music to the infamous masked orgy ritual, which also doubles as High Octane Nightmare Fuel.
• Fan Disservice: The orgy scene is not exactly sexy. The unhealthy ritual and atmosphere around it give the whole scene a very uncomfortable feeling.
• Gainax Ending
• True Art Is Incomprehensible: You'd think a film with a plot as simple as "a man discovers his wife contemplated an affair a year ago, and contemplates having one himself," would be a simple enough experience. You would be dead wrong.
