These things about Domesticated Dragon are subjective - not everyone will agree with all of them.

  • Audience-Alienating Ending: Readers tore into the story for the Cruel Twist Ending that shows Spike is still a non-person and is merely "working" by dint of Loophole Abuse via classifying his workplace as a "pet daycare and grooming facility" as well as the abrupt tonal dissonance over how Spike's situation was treated seriously throughout the story, but then turned into a rather mean-spirited punchline at the end of the story.
