Class of the Titans/YMMV

  • Complete Monster: The Titan Cronus, when released from his prison in Tartarus (where he was imprisoned for being an evil tyrant and for trying to kill his kids), wastes no time in seeking to resume his dominance over the world and all in it. With nothing but hatred for his children and the other Gods, Cronus is utterly brutal and merciless in his tactics, which include torturing and trying to kill his own children while throwing the world into chaos and disarray. Cronus eventually gets tired of the human heroes resisting him and makes it a point to attempt to exterminate the entire human race in retribution. At other points, Cronus releases the savage werewolf Lycaon from imprisonment to eat "whomever he may please" and tries to get his mother Gaea to kill Zeus for him. Sophisticated, suave, seemingly polite and never at loss for a vicious plan, Cronus repeatedly proved how nothing would stand in his goals of domination and destruction.
  • Conflict Ball: Theresa never had a problem with her life as a hero before the season two finale.
  • Critical Research Failure: Cronus the titan, who was the father of Zeus, had domain over farming. Chronos was the god of time, and had nothing to do with the titans. The two are often mixed up and/or combined.
  • Unintentional Period Piece: The show is blatantly set in the 2000s. Most of the computers shown are desktop computers, cell phones are depicted as new and revolutionary, to the point that the show had to create a fantastical version of them for the main cast to use, and all of the internet is shown as being old school where they have to be individually dragged out in order for them to be read, and only Odie is one to use the internet regularly, while social media is almost never mentioned. Similarly, the fact that multiple sound effects and music are recurring beats and leitmotifs used from other media pieces of the decade; the 2000s were the last time sound effects were used in stock en masse, before the 2010s saw media pieces try to make their own sound effects and music unique. The premise of the show itself also reflects that the 2000s saw a massive interest in ancient mythology, with media works like Age of Mythology, Titan Quest, God of War and many other works that did not end until the 2010s. One season 2 episode has the gang's exploits get filmed on a camera and they have to steal the camera and destroy the evidence and have Theresa use her mind powers to erase her memory. The entire side plot also dates the decade, as the camera is a video camera and it is stated that the camera uses a tape that has to be developed and manually uploaded to an internet site, which automatically dates it before the rise of instant uploads and cellphones that could do all of those things automatically.
