Carnivorous Shadows/Recap/S1E2: Far from Over

Congratulations Reagan, You established yourself as an irredeemable monster capable of kicking dogs through mass cruelty in this episode.

Far from Over is the second episode of season one and the second episode of the Carnivorous Shadows series.

Plot

After another attack in Toperton, Mayor Toper recalls that Luke mentioned having connections who could assist with the entity problem. He, along with Death and Nova, embarks on a subway journey to Luke's hometown, Bawssborough. There, they meet the owner and entity of the area, Bawssborough himself. The question remains: How will this particular connection be able to halt the shape-shifting shadow creature's killing spree?

Tropes used in Far from Over include:
  • The Bus Came Back: At the end of the episode, we cut to the Vyond City Prison, where we see the Strikers and Reapers sleeping in their cells. The police officer from the final episode of The Reapers Series, The Invasion!, appears at the very end, checking their cells.
  • Evil-Detecting Dog: Or more so, "Evil-Detecting Entity": Bawssborough does this twice: The first time, he senses that there are 2 entities who are in Bawssborough with malicious intent. He turns out to be correct as Reagan is seen eating some of the citizens of the city. It happens again when another shadow entity ambushes the group. As it turns out, the other entity is Reagan's sister, Jade Ombretta Moretti.
  • Foreshadowing: Happens a couple of times in this episode:
    • Bawssborough implies that the group’s efforts in Bawssborough might not ultimately be enough—or that the entity may not be acting alone. He is proven correct halfway through the episode where Jade Moretti comes out of nowhere and attacks the group.
    • At the end of the episode, we cut to the Vyond City prison, where the officer notes that something is wrong with Amiira Storm as she experiences a nightmare while sleeping.
  • Kick the Dog: Reagan Moretti makes Lynette Baxter miserable by killing her would-be husband at a wedding, leaving her alive to be a widow, mostly out of cruelty and not mercy.
  • Moral Event Horizon: Overlaps with Kick the Dog, but nonetheless, Reagan Moretti crashes a wedding by 1), eating the guards and 2), attacking the partygoers, and eats Lynette Baxter's husband-to-be and leaves her alive to become a widow from her own wedding.
  • Properly Paranoid: Bawssborough senses that 2 malicious entities have entered his city with harmful intentions and is immediately proven right shortly afterwards.
  • Sad Bollywood Wedding: Reagan Moretti invades the wedding by eating the guards and stealing their souls, then attacks Lynette Baxter's would-be husband and eats him before taking his as well. She decides to leave Lynette alive, not from mercy, but out of cruelty.
  • The Shadow Knows: As part of Properly Paranoid, Bawssborough is proven correct when 2 malicious entities enter his city with harmful intentions.
  • Widowed at the Wedding: As stated in Sad Bollywood Wedding, Reagan crashes a wedding party, attacks the people there, devours Lynette Baxter's spouse and eats his soul.
