Cadence of Hyrule

Cadence of Hyrule is an odd entry in The Legend of Zelda series. A rhythm game and roguelike based on the mechanics of Crypt of the Necrodancer and 2D Zelda games, Cadence of Hyrule has a roguelike setup where players must explore a procedurally generated world while conducting combat to a beat.
The plot starts with the musician Octavo using a golden lute to daze the King and seize control of Hyrule. With Link defeated, the game starts with Cadence falling into the world for a short tutorial, followed by the choice of playing as either Link or Zelda.
Cadence of Hyrule was released in 2019 for the Nintendo Switch and has a page on the Nintendo website here. It is also one of the few Zelda games developed by an external company from Nintendo, being made by Brace Yourself Games.
