Ballistic Baseball

Ballistic Baseball is a mobile Baseball simulation video game. The game features 7 fictional teams and 8 parks to play in. Players can choose between a career mode or in an arcade mode. Players can also compete in the game mode "Ballistic Bash", which is just about hitting as many home runs as possible to score points rather than scoring bases.
It was developed by Gameloft's Australia branch in Brisbane with support from their Barcelona animation studio and published in 2019 for iOS devices. It runs on the Phantom Game Engine.
It has a small webpage on the Gameloft website here, a YouTube channel here, and an Apple App Store page here.
Tropes used in Ballistic Baseball include:
- Announcer Chatter: The announcer makes quips on the state of the game during play.
- Big Applesauce: The theme of Liberties Park is clearly inspired by New York City. The Liberties Mascot is based on the Statue of Liberty.
- Brand X: Ads for generic products can be seen along the walls, such as for "LuckyPop" which is written next to a happy person holding a double dipper ice cream cone, as well as for an ad that can be read either as a general ad for sparkling water, or a specific brand called "Hydrate".
- Cowboy: A neon cowboy sign can be seen in the Dirt Devils field.
- Down on the Farm: A generic rural park surrounded by farms and corn is in the game. Appropriately it's named "The Corn Field", and has a corn mascot in the intro.
- Eagle Land: The teams and parks are based on Americana. While some parks are clearly meant to represent specific regions, there’s enough ambiguity to make pinning them down to a city level a bit harder.
- Mascot: Teams have one In-Universe.
- Mini Game: One is played while pitching, where better timing results in a better throwing of the ball.
- Public Domain Soundtrack: Played with. There is contemporary music in the menu, but public domain ditties played during the game itself.
- Save Game Limits: There are three save slots available.
- Scenery Porn: The stadiums and surrounding environments are packed with details and little flourishes that would be missed in normal gameplay.
- Scoring Points: Players can score hundreds of points when playing Ballistic Bash.
- Sprint Meter: Pitching involves expenditure of stamina.
- The Theme Park Version: The parks are themed caricatures based on American regions.
- Virtual Paper Doll: Team outfits can be adjusted on a character by character basis.
